Situated a short walk up from the beach in the hotel Le Sireneuse sits a creative cocktail oasis: Franco’s Bar. From the breathtaking views of Positano to the equally jaw-droppingly beautiful cocktails, it’s no wonder folks line up outside for a coveted seat.

We started with a Pisco Sour and a “Green Eyes,” made with tequila, St. Germain, egg white, lemon, cucumber juice and prosecco. It’s topped with a picture of the Positano coastline.

We could’ve stopped there, but then something else caught my eye: Have you ever seen a black cocktail??

The black color comes from homemade Orgeat pepper syrup. The cocktail also includes a blend of rum, passion fruit and lime.

Overall the cocktails were very good, but the real reason to go to Franco’s isn’t for the taste, it’s for the sights—the incredible views, the people watching, the elegant Italian style, and of course the bright cocktails.

If you find yourself in Positano, Franco’s is a must. Some tips: 1) Go right when the bar opens at 5 to avoid a line to get in; 2) If you get in but can’t get a front tow table, take the closest table to the front row you can, and then be ready to pounce when a front row table leaves; 3) Know that there is a $20 per person minimum, but you’ll meet that with just one cocktail. Enjoy!!

Sounds like a great time! Also that black drink looks spooky.
